Within two weeks, students at HVAC Technical Academy braze, diagnose components, perform full evaporator coil pull and cleans, break down and restore systems, and conclude week 2 with a package unit preventive maintenance.
Package Unit Preventive Maintenance
- Students work in teams of two (with instructor) on initial preventive maintenance
- Students (during week 4) will be performing preventive maintenances individually… allowing each to experience firsthand
- Readings inside and outside the location are required… this is not just a replica; this is a real location where residential cooling comfort is top priority
In addition to performing a package system preventive maintenance, students performed a preventive maintenance on a heat pump system with air handler in an attic… we keep it real.
