Meet The Board
Danny Huffman
President
MA, CEIP, CPRW, CPCC:
I’ve always believed in choice and consequence; each individual owning the power to forge their own path. In this endeavor, I am committed to sharing my strengths (and vulnerabilities) to those who have struggled in hopes they will become empowered and successful.
Securing a partnership with the Central Florida Jobs Initiative, I increased attention to 2nd Chance University shortly after 2010 as it became clear the need for an effective model to assist those with a criminal background was pressing beyond imagination. After working with Christian HELP and the Central Florida Jobs Initiative, the platform became clear and over the past years we brought 2nd Chance University to where it is today: one of the most powerful life-changing programs designed specifically for the justice involved.
Former college instructor, director, and dean of academics promoting best-practice expertise on the local and national arena, I am determined to bring Commitment, Hope, and Empowerment to all neighborhoods across the United States.
Area of expertise within the career management industry has been shard to audiences ranging from 5 to 500 at prestigious national organizations and institutions, including Yale University, the National Career Development Association, National Association of Colleges and University, Workforce Central Florida, and the Florida Diversity Group, just to name a few.
Through 2nd Chance University, the disenfranchised, the invisible, and those needing a second chance upon release are forging a positive path.
Paved by personal and professional own stumbling, my goal is to bring breath back to hope… for all and believe 2nd Chance University to be the medium.

Pam Rickey
Secretary
Pamela Rickey has over fifteen years of experience in education. She has been a college instructor, developed and directed training and certification programs, and written numerous courses for business and IT degree programs. Her accomplishments include negotiating contracts with Workforce Development and the Indiana Air National Guard for programs she wrote, directed and sometimes instructed.
Prior to her career in education, Pam was an entrepreneur, owner of several businesses, and a software developer. She wrote a multi-departmental software program for a large university, which allowed them to automate their institutional research process, and provided them with many capabilities to aid in decision making.
Mrs. Rickey holds a master’s degree in education in Instructional Design and a dual bachelor’s degree in Business and IT. She lives in Indiana with Greg, her husband of 38 years, who is retired from the Air National Guard and also retired from government service. Pam and Greg have two sons. Their older son, David, is a Software Engineer. Their younger son, Scott, is a Captain in the Air Force, and serves his country as a combat helicopter search and rescue pilot.
